E-Statements are an electronic version of your periodic statement. Instead of receiving paper statements in the mail, statements will be made available through Home Branch, the University Credit Union home banking Web site. Can I receive eStatements without getting a notification? University Credit Union is required by law to e-mail the notification to you when statements are ready for viewing. It is your responsibility to maintain a current e-mail address on the eStatements service. Can I receive both eStatements and paper statements? University Credit Union can only send statements by either method, not both. If you would like a paper copy of an eStatement, you can print out the desired month's eStatement on your printer. How else will my e-mail address be used? Your authorization for use of your e-mail address will only be used to send you notifications when your eStatements are ready for viewing and when we need to send you any other official documents or notifications related to your statements. Why can't you e-mail my statements instead of the notification? University Credit Union wants to be certain that transaction and account information is received in a secured environment. Your log-in to Home Branch assures that only an authorized user will have access to statement information. How do I retrieve my eStatements? You will be required to log-in to Home Branch to retrieve your eStatements. Once logged in, click the "eStatements" link to open a window which will display your available statements. How long will statements be available? E-Statements will be available for at least the last two years. We are required to send a notification when statements are ready for viewing. Maintaining a current e-mail address assures you will receive notifications. Incorrect e-mail addresses may result in statements being converted to paper statements that will be mailed. When will eStatements generally be ready for viewing? Generally, statements will be available for viewing within two (2) business days after the end of the statement period. If I get eStatements, will I still receive news and announcements from the credit union? Yes, links are available on the eStatements service page that will give you access to published newsletters, product offerings and announcements that would normally accompany a paper statement. If I want to cancel eStatements, can I change back to receiving paper statements by mail? To cancel eStatements services, please contact a University Credit Union representative at (310) 477-6628, x1 during regular business hours. Can I have other family accounts on eStatements? University Credit Union provides the availability to access account statements that you co-own with others (spouse, minor, etc.), own as an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and partially co-own or co-borrow under separate account numbers that do not have the ability to be accessed via Home Branch. If you are a co-owner on an account number on one of these accounts, you would need authorization from the other co-owners of that account number. Please contact a University Credit Union representative for an "eStatement Multiple Account Access" form at (310) 477-6628, x1 during regular business hours. |
