Safety at UCU

The University Credit Union (UCU) does not invest in risky ventures, such as foreign loans, commercial loans nor energy development loans. It invests primarily in YOU and your fellow member owners, in the form of prudent loans which are repaid on a timely basis.

One of the added measures that UCU offers is an abundance of share insurance. We want our members to have peace of mind that their deposits will be safe through any kind of economic climate. Our large insurance coverage also allows members to deposit larger sums of money at the credit union, knowing that they will be covered to the insured limit.

Your savings federally insured to at least $100,000 through the National Credit Union Administration (a U.S. Government Agency) and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.
Shares insured to $350,000 through American Share Insurance.
