Eligibility and loan limits

 

  • Borrow up to $15,000 annually, $60,000 lifetime
  • Minimum loan amount of $5,000
  • Available to those ages 18 or older
  • Students must be enrolled at least half-time in a degree-seeking program
  • Students must attend a four-year, public, private or not-for-profit school
  • Non-U.S. residents need a Social Security Number or Tax ID, the student’s admission letter and a cosigner who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Borrowers also need to provide a copy of one of the following: an F1 Student Visa, an I-20, a work Visa, or proof of Deferred status.
