What’s new from University Credit Union

Being a member-owned cooperative instead of a traditional bank lets us offer you better rates—from higher interest rates on checking, savings, and money market accounts to lower rates on credit cards and home, auto, or personal loans.

At University Credit Union, we offer membership to students, staff, faculty, and alumni from many different universities, as well as family members of our current member-owners.

Traditional banks insure at least $250,000 deposits with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). University Credit Union share deposits are federally insured through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). The fund is backed with the full faith and credit of the United States Government. Share accounts in federally insured credit unions are insured to at least $250,000 and IRAs are insured separately to $250,000. Not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost by a federally insured credit union member.
