Third Quarter 2026 CEO Letter

Dear member, 

As we move through 2026, I continue to be inspired by the resilience, dedication, and spirit of our members and employees. Across every campus, community, and market we serve, one thing remains clear; people are looking for a financial partner they can trust, not just in moments of celebration, but during times of uncertainty as well.

At University Credit Union, our mission has always been about more than products and services. It is about helping our members navigate life’s milestones and challenges with confidence. Whether someone is purchasing their first vehicle, preparing for retirement, managing rising expenses, or simply looking for ways to make their money work harder, we are committed to meeting them where they are and helping them move forward.

This commitment is especially important today. Many households continue to feel pressure from inflation, changing economic conditions, and increasing financial obligations. We know that financial stress can affect every aspect of a person’s life. That is why we have expanded our focus on financial wellness by providing additional educational resources, debt management tools, personalized guidance, and proactive outreach designed to support members before financial challenges become overwhelming.

Financial stress or anxiety can happen to anyone. When that happens, our goal is to provide understanding, solutions, and support. Through one-on-one counseling, educational content, and enhanced member assistance programs, like Project Paydown, we are working to ensure members know they are not alone and that help is available.

Summer also brings opportunities for new beginnings and memorable experiences. Whether members are traveling, purchasing a vehicle, tackling home improvement projects, or preparing for the upcoming academic year, our team stands ready to help them achieve their goals while building long-term financial strength.

This year has also been particularly meaningful as we celebrate University Credit Union’s 75th anniversary. For seventy-five years, members have trusted us to stand beside them through life’s defining moments. While much has changed since our founding in Royce Hall in 1951, our purpose remains concrete.
