Your next steps
- On April 29, 2024, activate your new credit card and begin using it. Activate your card by following the instructions on the sticker on the front of your card or via digital banking after 12 PM PST.
- If you previously had any alerts or settings set up in Card Manager, they have not carried over with your new credit card and you will need to set them up again.
- Your credit card has a new card number, so be sure to update it in your mobile wallet, for any recurring payments, or anywhere else you may have it stored.
- Your old credit card will now no longer work, so please safely destroy and discard it.
Attention Current Credit Card eStatement Enrollees
Please be advised that if you were previously enrolled in credit card eStatements you will need to re-enroll via digital banking beginning April 29, 2024. Following re-enrollment, you will receive both a paper statement and an eStatement for the following statement cycle. We appreciate your understanding as we work to give you a financial advantage.
- Where can I find my credit card eStatements?
In digital banking, there will be a change in how you access your credit card eStatements. You can find previous credit card eStatements under the main menu selection labeled ‘eStatements and Documents'. Any new credit card eStatements can be found under the menu selection labeled ‘Credit Card Statements'.

If you have any recurring automatic payments set up, such as streaming services, utilities, or a gym membership, or have your card in a mobile wallet, make sure you have updated them with your new credit card number and expiration date.

A contactless card uses Radio Frequency (RF) technology, allowing cardholders to wave their card over a contactless payment terminal. The embedded antenna transmits the payment information to the terminal using a one-time code for each transaction. Utilizing this feature makes purchases faster, more secure, and easier.

This code and data are unique to each purchase and can only be used once. In addition, every contactless terminal utilizes its own secret key, which is never transmitted.

Mastercard ID Theft Protection™ is a free program available to you as a cardholder that helps eliminate the fear of identity theft. To continue accessing your rewards points, you need to re-register for CURewards via digital banking or the CURewards website. To register your account, please use your new card number. When prompted to provide a user name, you are able to create a new one or use your existing. This updated login process ensures your account's safety and security.
- Did my rewards points from my UCU Rewards Credit Card transfer over? Click On Did my rewards points from my UCU Rewards Credit Card transfer over? Yes, your existing rewards points should have seamlessly transferred over to your new card and should be available to use the week of April 29 as soon as you create your new CURewards account.

You can manage your credit card through UCU’s digital banking platform. Here, you can access an organized overview of your account, as well as utilize Card Manager to schedule travel notices, set customized alerts, lock or unlock your cards, and more.
- Do I still have all my Card Manager settings and alerts available? Click On Do I still have all my Card Manager settings and alerts available? With the upgrade and new card number you are receiving, any settings and alerts in Card Manager tied to your old credit card will no longer be available. You need to access Card Manager to configure any settings and reset any alerts you would like.
- Do I have access to my past credit card transaction history and statements? Click On Do I have access to my past credit card transaction history and statements? You are still able to access your past credit card transaction history and previous statements in digital banking.

*APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Promotional rate only applies to purchases made and posted April 29 - August 31, 2024; balance transfers or cash advances are not eligible. After promotional period ends, all remaining balances from purchases during this period will revert to the regular (or standard) rate, between 7.42% and 23.99% APR, at which the credit card had prior to April 29, 2024. Rate applies only to existing UCU credit card holders prior to April 1, 2024.
1APY = Annual Percentage Yield. To earn up to 5.00% APY, member must have a qualifying University Checking Account. Based on a combined rate of 4.88%. Credit card must be active, have at least one monthly transaction (excludes balance transfers and cash advances), and be enrolled in credit card eStatements to qualify for the extra 1.00% APY in dividends. Account does not earn dividends if there is a $0 balance in a HELOC at the end of the month. All accounts must be in good standing with no delinquency or bankruptcy pending. Multiple loans in the same category count for only 1.00% APY in dividends.
Qualifying University Checking Accounts will earn 1.00% APY in dividends on balances up to $25,000. Balances above $25,000 will be paid at the regular checking rate. Qualifying University Checking Accounts are defined as having at least 25 transactions per month (includes transactions made with both debit and credit cards) and enrollment in eStatements. If the requirements are not met, then no dividend is earned. Secondary University Checking Accounts not eligible to earn APY. Dividends are calculated by the daily balance method, which applies a daily periodic rate to the balance in the account at the end of each day. Dividends are disbursed monthly into the active University Checking Account. APY is accurate as of the last dividend declaration date. Fees could reduce the earnings on the account. Rate subject to change after account opening and may vary based on qualifications met at month end. Not valid with any other offers. To establish a UCU Membership, you must deposit at least $5 to a Regular (Share) Savings Account. A $50 minimum deposit is required to open a University Checking Account. All accounts are subject to approval.
